The Community Education Development Association was established in 1979 to serve the social and economic needs of residents of the inner city or communities that displayed inner city characteristics.  

Since its inception, CEDA has been instrumental in the redevelopment of the North Logan and Inner City neighbourhoods. It has developed many long standing, self-sustaining community-based initiatives that have and continue to contribute toward the building of healthy Winnipeg communities/neighbourhoods. 

In 2006, it is positioned to continue along this path by responding to new community priorities, as it focuses on supporting the development of meaningful solutions to issues facing seniors, youth and aboriginal peoples.
